Attorney John Davis ~
Mr. Davis focuses his practice exclusively on employment law. He represents individuals and small to mid-size businesses on a variety of employment law topics, including sexual harassment claims, employment discrimination, non-compete litigation, wage and hour issues, contract issues, unemployment hearings and various tort-related claims.
Prior to launching DPS, Mr. Davis was the founding partner of Davis & Davis, P.C., a boutique law firm that focused exclusively on employment law and domestic relations. Previously, Mr. Davis was recruited to spearhead the employment law practice of another Boston law firm. He also interned as a law clerk for the Honorable John C. Cratsley of the Massachusetts Superior Court, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the Fair Labor Division of the Attorney General's Office.
Mr. Davis has been a panelist at the National Employment Lawyers Associations Regional Conference in 2006 on 'How to Run a Successful Plaintiff's Employment Law Practice'. He has also presented on employment issues with the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE). Mr. Davis speaks annually to first year law students at the New England College of Law and was recently the keynote speaker on current employment law trends before the North Reading Chamber of Commerce; Mr. Davis is a member and resident of the town of North Reading, MA.
Mr. Davis is a Trustee of the Dana Martino Trust Fund and volunteers with the Massachusetts Volunteers Lawyers Project. He is also the co-chair of the Legislative Committee for the Massachusetts' chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), which he joined while in law school. He is also a member of the Employment Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
